# Reading a product specification

These docs describe the ETFT framework. An individual product's specification and governing documents provide its actual mandate, parameters, investor rights, and service availability.

## Availability comes from the product

A product category, execution venue, or infrastructure feature described elsewhere in these docs is not sufficient evidence that it is enabled for a specific ETFT. Confirm the product's current status and the terms shown in the transaction flow.

## Which document applies?

The product's governing documents control legal rights and obligations. Product-specific terms determine its economic and operational parameters. General documentation explains the framework and should be read together with those documents.
