# Redeeming an ETFT

## Overview

Redeeming an ETFT converts your units into USDC through the primary-market redemption process. Enter the units to redeem, review the quote and applicable fee, and confirm the transaction. The corresponding underlying positions are then reduced or liquidated under the product's execution methodology.

When execution, reconciliation, and the required funding steps are complete, the resulting USDC becomes available to claim.

Redemption is distinct from selling existing ETFT units to another participant in a secondary market. **Redemption proceeds are delivered in USDC**, including when the original mint was funded with USDT. USDT mint support does not imply a USDT redemption option.

## 1. Quote

Quote is the pre-submission stage. Reviewing a quote does not submit a redemption request.

### Select an ETFT

Open your portfolio and select the ETFT to redeem. Review your unit balance, Indicative Product NAV (iNAV), actual portfolio composition, holding period, applicable redemption fee, and risks.

You may redeem all or part of your position, subject to the product's dealing terms. The 100 USDC mint minimum does not itself establish a redemption minimum. Any product-specific redemption minimum or full-balance exception is disclosed before confirmation.

### Enter your redemption amount

For example:

```text theme={null}
You redeem: 100 Pelosi ETFT
Minimum output: [Quoted amount] USDC
```

The quote reflects current underlying prices, portfolio composition, iNAV, expected execution, market liquidity, applicable execution costs, and the redemption fee.

The quote is provided before the underlying positions are liquidated. Actual proceeds depend on completed execution. Review the quote validity and minimum-output conditions; iNAV is not a guaranteed executable price.

### Review the redemption fee

| Holding period | Redemption fee |
| - | -: |
| Less than 3 months | 0.10% |
| 3 months or longer | 0% |

The applicable holding period and fee calculation follow the relevant product methodology and are reflected in the quote and final transaction breakdown. The method must account for the units being redeemed, including where a position contains multiple acquisition lots.

A zero redemption fee does not eliminate underlying execution, conversion, settlement, or network costs. This fee schedule applies to primary redemption, not automatically to secondary-market trades.

## 2. Processing

Review the details, click **Redeem**, and confirm the required wallet transaction. The order enters **Processing**, and the submitted units are reserved against the request to prevent duplicate redemption or transfer.

The applicable underlying positions are routed for execution. Unit cancellation and any unsettled redemption entitlement are reconciled so that a pending claim is not lost or included in the value attributable to remaining holders.

### Underlying execution

For an equity-backed product, redemption reduces the attributable securities positions. Conceptually, for a pro-rata redemption:

```text theme={null}
Redemption fraction
    = units being redeemed / applicable economic units outstanding
Quantity of security i to liquidate
    = redemption fraction × attributable quantity of security i
```

This relationship uses actual portfolio positions, not stale target weights. Cash, liabilities, pending flows, fractional quantities, and the product's allocation rules are accounted for separately. Synthetic or leveraged products follow their specified exposure-reduction method rather than treating derivative notional as securities owned.

Actual proceeds depend on execution prices and can be affected by market movement, spreads, liquidity, partial fills, extended-hours conditions, and brokerage or transaction charges. These costs are passed through under the product's pricing methodology.

### Processing time

Under normal market and operating conditions, **Processing typically completes within 10 minutes**. This measures the period from order acceptance to Claimable, including required execution, reconciliation, and funding availability. It is an estimate, not a guaranteed deadline or a promise that securities settlement finishes within 10 minutes.

Market closures, trading halts, partial fills, limited liquidity, broker interruptions, settlement constraints, and network delays can extend this period. A delay beyond 10 minutes does not automatically cancel the request.

## 3. Claimable

The order changes to **Claimable** once the required execution and reconciliation are complete and USDC is available for delivery.

A securities sale fill is not necessarily immediately withdrawable cash. Settlement, funding availability, and any required conversion or transfer steps can affect when the Claim action becomes available.

The claimable amount reflects actual execution, allocated transaction costs, and any redemption fee. If the order cannot satisfy its accepted limits, its disclosed exception procedure applies rather than silently reducing the minimum output.

### Claim your USDC

Click **Claim** and confirm the wallet transaction. USDC is delivered to your connected wallet on the applicable network.

## 4. Completed

After successful delivery, the order becomes **Completed**. The processing estimate does not include the time you take to claim or the confirmation time for the claim transaction.

## Order lifecycle

| Stage | What happens |
| - | - |
| Quote | Review estimated USDC proceeds, costs, redemption fee, and minimum output |
| Processing | Reduce underlying positions, reconcile results, and prepare settlement |
| Claimable | The confirmed USDC entitlement is available to claim |
| Completed | USDC has been delivered to your wallet |

## Important considerations

Redemption may be delayed by market closures, trading halts, insufficient liquidity, broker interruptions, settlement constraints, or other exceptional conditions. Cancellation, partial execution, and any unwind follow the applicable order terms; already executed transactions may incur costs.

<Warning>
  USDT conversion costs incurred when minting are not reversed by later redeeming into USDC. Primary redemption and secondary-market selling have different pricing, fees, and execution paths.
