# Overview

ETFTs are organized by the source of their portfolio decisions. Exposure labels describe how a product implements those decisions.

## Product families

| Family | Source of portfolio decisions | Learn more |
| - | - | - |
| Celebrity | Public disclosures or defined signals from public figures and creators | [Public Figure ETFTs](/celebrity-etfts) |
| Institutional Portfolio | Published institutional holdings, including Form 13F disclosures | [Institutional Portfolio ETFTs](/institutional-portfolio-etfts) |
| Manager-Led | An appointed external manager with authority to manage the portfolio | [Manager-Led ETFTs](/manager-led-etfts) |
| Thematic | A defined industry, structural trend, cultural theme, or attention signal | [Thematic ETFTs](/thematic-etfts) |

A product has one primary family and can have additional descriptive tags. A manager-run technology portfolio, for example, can be classified as Manager-Led with a technology theme.

## Exposure is a separate dimension

A theme does not determine leverage. Products can target unleveraged long exposure, leveraged long exposure, or inverse exposure where supported. A hedged mandate specifies which risks it seeks to reduce.

For example, a Gen Z theme and a daily 2x return target describe two different parts of a product: its investment idea and its exposure structure. They require separate methodology and risk disclosures.

See [Leveraged, inverse, and hedged exposure](/leveraged-inverse-and-hedged-exposure).

## Categories are not launch announcements

These families describe the ETFT product framework. Named examples illustrate how a product could be constructed; they do not indicate that a product is available, or that the referenced person or institution has authorized, sponsored, or endorsed it.
